Past Events - DB Basketball Tournament Community Health Cup 2016 (27 Nov 2016)
The long-awaited "DB Basketball Tournament Community Health Cup 2016" was a big success yesterday attracting EIGHT community teams to battle for the championship at Discovery College. The hilarious and vibrant sports and family event was kicked off by a solemn ceremony with team drawn ritual cum chorus of the theme song "What a Wonderful World" among all the honourable guests, basketball lovers, and cheering teams from family and friends, signifying the vision of the matches in promoting a harmonious community spirit. Through the exciting matches between different teams from DB Ballers, DB Transport, Talent Reload, Trinity Chapel, DB Dream, G.Six, Victorious Secret, and CM Rise Plus Sino, we are pleased to announce the results as follows:
Champion: G.Six
1st Runner Up: DB Ballers
2nd Runner Up: Talent Reload
3rd Runner Up: Trinity Chapel
Special thanks also go to COC Chairman Mr Simon Mawdsley; Chairman of Love.Together@DB Dr Francis Chiu; Steering Committee Member of Love.Together@DB Mr Vic Riley; General Manager DB Operations of HKR Mr Vincent Chua; and Assistant Director of DBSML Mr Patrick Ho to officiate at the ceremony, and the support from Discovery College in offering the venue.
