Discovery Bay Halloween Carnival 2010
06 Oct 2010

Spooky fun and excitement will be doubled in Discovery Bay during Halloween as events and festivities await you at both DB Plaza and DB North Plaza -- for the very first time! Presented by Discovery Bay Services Management Ltd and D Deck, the largest oceanfront alfresco dining hotspot in Hong Kong, the Discovery Bay Halloween Carnival 2010 – Double Scary Nights will span two days (30 & 31 October 2010) this year, giving you more time to experience the heart-stopping fun at Discovery Bay! The Carnival is also funded by Islands District Council as one of the Islands Festival 2010 events.

Scary Highlights
Haunted Houses
The ghoulish Haunted Houses are a must for the bold and brave, and they will spook you at DB Plaza (7pm-10pm) and DB North Plaza (6pm-10pm) respectively on both days. The chilling adventure inside the houses will surely make your spine tingle! Customers who spend HK$100 or above per head at D Deck’s 13 designated restaurants1 or the DB North retail shops can enjoy priority access to the Haunted Houses on 30 October. What’s more, free photo shooting service PLUS a free photo postcard will be given to customers at DB North Plaza. On 31 October, the Haunted Houses are open for free to all who dare!

Spooky Carnival
If you think the Haunted Houses are not scary enough, Spirit Hunting will give you the heart-pounding challenge! Frightful spirits in Halloween costumes will hide in every corner of the two plazas and give you surprises. Beware and don’t go astray…!

For families with kids, the Carnival will be something more than just ghosts and spirits. Get your cute witches & cheeky devils dressed up in Halloween outfits and they will stand a chance to win the Angels and Demons Family Costume Contest at DB Plaza! Also, don’t miss the great photo opportunities in front of Horror Grave at DB North Plaza and other ghastly decorations at both plazas. Before snapping the best pictures of your kids, remember to ask the experts at the Face Painting booths to give the children a cool festive look. The game booths and sales booths at DB North plaza will also keep you entertained and energised!

Halloween is also a wonderful time for kids to get lots of candy! Check out the D Deck Treat or Trick counters and hunt for the yummy sweets! Delicious Sucre Chine Belgian candies will be offered to those who have collected stamps from all the participating shop tenants of DB North Plaza.

“Road to Nightmare” -- Golf Cart Dress Parade
To add to the festive atmosphere in Discovery Bay, about 20 golf carts wrapped up with ghostly decorations will parade from DB Plaza to DB North Plaza after the Carnival’s Kick-off Ceremony at 7pm on 31 October.

It will definitely be a unique parade that you don’t see in other places of Hong Kong.

Spooktacular Shuttle Bus
A ghostly decorated shuttle bus will also be available to transport everybody between the two plazas for FREE from 7pm to 10pm on 31 October.

Exhausted after being scared and excited? Why not have seat at a D Deck restaurant of your choice and savour the special menus tailor-made for Halloween? Come and have a “terrorbly” good time with your family and friends in Discovery Bay the Halloween!
