At around 7:15 pm on 11 July 2007, a VIP Logistic service vehicle, while travelling along Cheung Tung Road back to Discovery Bay, was hit head-on by a light goods vehicle which crossed the lane near Tung Chung. The driver of the VIP Logistic service vehicle, and the non-Chinese passenger onboard, as well as the driver of the light goods vehicle were all injured and were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital. The driver of the service vehicle sustained a minor injury and was discharged after being treated. The passenger had bone fractures on his left arm and required operation. The Police is investigating the cause of the accidents.
