Tens of thousands of colourful eggs are to be discovered by thousands of children on Tai Pak Beach in Discovery Bay this Easter. It will be quite a spectacle in itself!
D Deck, the largest oceanfront alfresco dining hotspot in Hong Kong, will bring you the 4th Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt on the Beach + Fun Fair, the only event of its kind in town, on 2 and 3 April 2010.
Capture the exciting moments of your children finding the eggs and join the games in a nearby fun fair. Your whole family will be guaranteed an action-and-laughter-packed holiday in Discovery Bay! What’s more, wonderful prizes are waiting to be won by your children!
Hunt for 30,000 Colourful Easter Eggs on Tai Pak Beach (12pm to 6pm)
Some 30,000 colourful Easter eggs will be buried in the sand of Tai Pak Beach for children to dig out! This two-day event will welcome about 4,000 children aged between 3 and 10, who will be divided into 3 age groups: 3-4, 5-6 and 7-10. To win the special prizes, they are to hunt for the eggs in Golden, Silver, Red, Blue, Green and Orange color hidden among the many Easter eggs on the beach.
A total of 30,000 prizes worth about HK$300,000 will be ready for redemption. The Golden Egg hunter will receive the Golden Egg Grand Prize, a hamper of luxurious skin care products suitable for the whole family worth HK$2,680, sponsored by famous US brand Epicuren®. Other fabulous prizes for the Silver, Red, Blue, Green and Orange Egg hunters will also be given away, each worth from a few hundred to more than HK$1,000. In addition, every egg hunted will be entitled to redeem a small gift. So the more eggs hunted, the more gifts will be taken home1! All participating children will also receive a Welcome Goodies Bag and a Certificate of Excellence.
A HK$150 participation fee per child will be collected, part of which will go to Playright Children’s Play Association, a non-profit organization that seeks to enrich the lives of children through quality play, as donation and programme fee; while HK$80 will be for food and beverage consumption at D Deck (each participant will get a D Deck dining coupon worth HK$80, for redemption at the designated restaurants at D Deck).

Fun Fair with 10 Game Zones at DB Plaza (10:30am to 7pm)
Adding to the excitement of the Easter Egg Hunt on the beach are the interactive game zones and open-air market held at adjacent DB Plaza. A total of 10 game zones will be set up, where children can participate in a variety of innovative and interactive games. Of course, the delicious snacks prepared at various food stalls and other entertainment will also help “re-energise” your children if they are exhausted after the hunt!
