Re.: Suspension of SMATV channel “Bloomberg TV” and Preference Survey on the Selection of Satellite Television Channels
As informed by the Office of Telecommunications Authority, the copyright holder and broadcaster of “Bloomberg TV” which is an English financial channel, has announced that it will revoke all implied licenses for SMATV operators to receive its channel from Satellites such that we will no longer be able to receive this free-to-air channel after 21 February 2009.
Over the past two years, there have been some changes to the availability of satellite channels. As a management company, we cannot control or influence the business decisions made by the programme providers. As such, City Management will decide to conduct a survey once in every two years to solicit your preference of the satellite television channels.
The Government has allowed a total of nineteen (19) satellite channels for Discovery Bay. Please therefore express your views by returning the attached survey form to City Management Office (fax: 2987 8192) or the City Management Letter Box at Discovery Bay Pier by 18 February 2009. Based on the result of the captioned preference survey, our SMATV operator, Pacific Satellite International Ltd., will provide the most favourable nineteen (19) satellite channels. Separate notice will be prepared once the result of preference survey is available.

有關：「彭博財經頻道」停止轉播及衛星電視台喜好調查
茲收到電訊管理局通知，「彭博財經頻道」之節目製作及版權擁有人已宣佈撤銷衛星電視公共天線供應商經衛星系統接收上述英語財經頻道的牌照，故上述免費衛星電視頻道節目將於2009年2月21日不能繼續轉播。
衛星電視頻道於過去兩年有不少改變。惟我們不能影響及控制各節目製作者之任何改動。故此，我們每兩年進行衛星電視台喜好調查，以收集各住戶對各衛星電視台之意願。
政府已批准在愉景灣區內播放共十九個衛星電視台的節目。歡迎各位表達自己的意願，將填妥附上的調查表格並於2009年2月18日前交往城市管理處(傳真: 2987 8192)或投入設於愉景灣碼頭的城市管理處信箱。 衛星電視公共天線供應商，栢衛通訊器材有限公司，將根據此衛星電視台喜好調查結果，轉播十九個較受歡迎之衛星電視節目。此問卷調查如有結果，本處將另函通知各住戶有關安排。
