To: All Discovery Bay Cyclists

 

 

Cycling is a great fun and healthy exercise however the consequences can be serious if you do not take appropriate safety precautions. 

 

Concerning the fatal bicycle accidents happened recently in other regions in Hong Kong, the City Management would like to remind all the cyclists in Discovery Bay that carrying passengers when cycling is against the law. According to Road Traffic (Traffic Control) Regulations, Chapter 374G, Regulation 51 (3) (a) – No person riding a bicycle or tricycle on a road shall carry any other person, offender will be subject to prosecution.

致：愉影灣各 騎乘單車人士

 

 

踏單車本為一項有益身心的活動，但若不注意有關之安全事項後果可能非常嚴重。

 

就著近日於本港其他地區因違規踏單車而導致的傷亡事故，本處現特別提醒各愉景灣的騎單車人士，騎乘單車時載客屬違法行為。跟據道路交通（交通管制）規例，第374G章51條（3）（a）訂明，在道路上騎單車或三輪車的人，不得運載任何其他人，違規者將可能遭受檢控。
