To facilitate the construction work of new annex building of DBIS, Discovery Centre building, which will start within June, the basketball court next to the construction site is closed until 2 September 2007 for safety concerns, and the lighting around the basketball court would be disconnected once the excavation work started. 

 

According to DBIS, the new Discovery Centre will incorporate most of the specialist facilities including music rooms, an art studio, a multi media suite, a science laboratory, a design technology room, the library and library theatre, and etc. Students and teachers target to move into the new building at the start of the 2008-09 school year.

 

Furthermore, in order to upgrade the condition of the football pitch adjacent to the school, the pitch will be closed for resurfacing from 4 July 2007, and targeted to re-open in September 2007.
