Unauthorized Driving of Golf Cart
28 Dec 2007

To : All Golf Cart Owners and Users

Despite the fact that a suspect was arrested by the Police in end October and another offender was caught red-handed by the security guard in mid November, City Management still finds there is an increasing number of golf carts being driven without authority. Seven cases of unauthorized driving of golf cart are recorded in December and one case ends with a serious damage on the body of the golf cart. All cases are reported to the Police. The Police confirm that this behaviour is a criminal offence and will be charged as taking conveyance without authorization.

While joint effort will be made by the Police and City Management to combat such offence, you are recommended to consider installing additional vehicular anti-theft device to further secure your golf cart.

Please report to City Management at 3651 2345 (24 hours) or the Police at 999 if any suspect is noted.
