Debris Removal of Residential Units under Renovation
30 Nov 2007

To : All Residents of Discovery Bay

As you may be aware, the control of debris removal in Discovery Bay is always one of the paramount concerns of both the residents and City Management so that a clean and hygienic environment can be properly maintained. To achieve this goal, City Management applies refined guidelines for renovation contractors to handle debris with minimal disturbance to the residents.

Upon submission of renovation application, the debris removal route, collection point and preferred timeslot indicated in ī™ŸRenovation Work Guidelines and location plan will be handed out to the residents / the contractors. Residents currently performing renovation works are also required to comply with the debris removal requirement.

Estate staff will further remind the residents / the contractors to remove debris generated from the works out of Discovery Bay on the same day of disposal. Before moving debris from the renovation units to the collection point, prior appointment with debris removal service provider is required to reduce the transit dumping time in common area.

The debris should be packed with appropriate nylon bags or should be properly covered, in case of larger volume, throughout the delivery. You may appreciate that this could effectively prevent the dust and odour from spreading out. In addition, the route of removal or lifts should be sufficiently protected.

Alternatively, the residents / the contractors may need assistance from Local Management Office on debris removal, our cleaning contractor is always ready to help at a reasonable cost. Should you have any query, please contact our staff at the telephone numbers posted on the notice board of your building.

We would take this opportunity to express our gratitude to the residents to maintain the common area a pleasant and tidy living place, and your cooperation would be highly appreciated.
