Two traffic accidents happened on Discovery Bay Road today.

At around 3pm, a DB resident on his roller blades travelling south on Discovery Bay Road lost his balance outside SKH Wei Lun Primary School. He crashed to the ground and injured himself. The driver of a hire car travelling uphill managed to stop the car without hitting him. The resident was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital.

Earlier, at around noon, a Grade 6 student of SKH Wei Lun Primary School was hit by a south-bound #1 Bus at the intersection of Discovery Bay Road and Seabee Lane. According to sources on site, the student ran across the Discovery Bay Road without noticing the bus was approaching. He suffered head injuries and was sent to Princess Margaret Hospital immediately. The bus driver involved passed the alcohol test. The Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
